New/Mode Chooses SoSha as its Social Sharing Infrastructure Provider

New/Mode, the advocacy and civic engagement platform trusted by campaigners and movements worldwide, is expanding its platform with two new social capabilities powered by SoSha, the leading  social media amplification platform for progressive campaigns and non profits. The launches—Social Growth and Social Advocacy—mark a significant evolution in New/Mode’s approach to social engagement, with SoSha serving as its social sharing infrastructure.

Social media is no longer just a distribution channel for campaigns — it’s where most people consume news in the first place. Today, 54% of American adults get news from social platforms at least sometimes and roughly one-third now cite social media as their primary news source, surpassing traditional outlets. As audiences increasingly discover social issues through feeds, stories, and short-form video, advocacy campaigns  must be built for social-first engagement.

The first capability, Social Growth, is designed to help organizations scale peer-to-peer sharing across social platforms. It automatically optimizes New/Mode campaign content, including petitions and fundraisers, for social sharing, enabling supporters to seamlessly distribute messages across Bluesky, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

By removing the need for platform-specific posts, formats, or links, Social Growth reduces manual effort for campaign teams and lowers the technical barrier for supporters to amplify campaigns where they are already active online. The result is broader reach, greater efficiency, and increased resilience to ongoing algorithm changes.

“As far as I can tell, this feature is not natively available from any other service provider,” said Steve Anderson, CEO and founder of New/Mode. “I hope this makes it a little easier for our community to stay on top of the latest platforms and algorithm changes.”

New/Mode also announced Social Advocacy, a new capability designed to help advocacy campaigns publicly reach and pressure decision makers through social media.

Built specifically for organizing, Social Advocacy connects supporter voices directly to decision makers in a single, coordinated system. When hundreds or thousands of supporters take action at the same time, campaigns can generate visible public pressure that extends beyond private channels such as email and phone calls.

The feature enables advocacy groups to place messages in the public social feeds that decision makers and their teams actively monitor, increasing visibility and accountability. These actions also help campaigns grow their audiences across both email and social platforms.

“Social media is where most people get their news from. So, truly effective advocacy needs to be social first, said Tudor Mihailescu, CEO of SoSha. “We’re proud to partner with New/Mode as they roll out the next generation of advocacy technology that allows campaigns to extend their social reach through the authentic voices of their supporters.”

By combining New/Mode’s advocacy expertise with SoSha’s scalable social infrastructure, the partnership sets a new standard for how organizations grow, adapt, and engage across a rapidly evolving social landscape.
